The online bingo operator known as Bingo Fabulous has claimed that, thanks to the approval of the smoking ban imposed in Scotland, the membership to his online bingo site has surprisingly raised a considerable 40 per cent.
The marketing manager of the Bingo Fabulous, Aviva Lange, talked about the phenomenon and said: “Even though there are many factors that may be causing this unexpected growth, as it could be the very heavy promotion of our bingo brand that is taking place in the UK market, we honestly believe that the smoking ban has turned out to be an influencing factor”.
“We have seen an increase in the activity specially from those players who like to play both online and in bingo halls”.
Next summer, the smoking ban is planned to come into effect in England, and with that, the company plans to increase even more their numbers. “We expect to have a bigger increase in the number of the new members”, Lange added.
“The actual players have tended to spend more of their time playing online. The online bingo room are thought to attract an audience who likes to participate in the community experience, but specially prefers the intimate privacy their homes provide them”.
